Amazing Film And TV Works Of J.J. Abrams

J.J. Abrams is well known name in the film industry, especially for fans of science-fiction films. Other than becoming director for films and TV, he is also screenwriter, composer and producer. He is known for his works in various genres, both for small and big screens. Although Abrams is known for his highly successful Star Trek film, he actually prefer Star Wars than Star Trek. Since his youth, Abrams already showed potentials for becoming producer and director. He used a simple Super-8 camera for creating his own film. This interest paid off while Abrams was still in high school and his works are featured in a youth filmmaking festival. Steven Spielberg read about Abrams and the latter was asked to edit a number of Super-8 footages.

The next job that Abrams do is when he composed the score for Nightbeast, when he was only 16 and a high school student in Los Angeles. While he was in college, Abrams co-wrote a feature film, which eventually became the basis of Taking Care of Business (1990). He also wrote the screenplay of Regarding Henry (1991) starred by Harrison Ford and Forever Young (1992) starred by Mel Gubson. Abrams worked together with the producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay for Armageddon (1998) and the film became Abrams real big break in the film industry. He expanded his career into television by co-creating Felicity (1998 – 2002) and Lost (2004 – 2010). Other series that he created are Alias (2001 2006), Fringe (2008 – 2013) and Undercovers (2010). The opening theme music for Felicity, Alias and Lost was composed by Abrams himself.

For his works in television, Abrams obtained numerous awards, including a music award for the series Lost, in 2005. The same series also won Emmy Awards best director and outstanding drama series, at the same year. Mission Impossible III (2006) was Abrams’ debut as a film director and it was followed later by Cloverfield (2008), Morning Glory (2010) and Super 8 (2011). The Star Trek (2009) gave Abrams huge push into the film industry limelight and he became a well-known individual in Hollywood. Die-hard trekkies may feel somewhat alienated by the alternate storyline and Star Trek Into Darkness was released in 2013. He works with various major film studios, including Warner Bros., Touchstone Television and Paramount Pictures.

We will continue to see more of Abrams works in the future and he is known for taking on more challenging projects. J.J. Abrams is known for his action packed sensibility, high-techs implementations and edgy representations on the screen. You should continue checking what Abrams has to offer in the film industry. His more recent works include Morning Glory, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, Mission Impossible Rogue Nations, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Star Trek Beyond, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and he is currently filming, Mission Impossible 6. He also becomes executive producer for various recent TV programs, such as Believe, Dead People, Roadies, West World and Castle Rock.
